Vaccine Injury Compensation

Vaccine Injury Compensation

Vaccines, like any medicines, can rarely cause serious problems and side effects. In those cases, the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, “VICP”, is a Federal program providing compensation to people who are found to be injured by certain vaccines. In order to receive compensation, you must prove that: (1) the injured person received a vaccine listed on the Table; and (2) the first symptom of the vaccine injury listed on the Vaccine Injury Table occurred within the time period listed on the Table or the vaccine caused the injury or the vaccine caused an existing illness to get worse (significantly aggravated). In addition, in order to receive compensation, the Court must determine that the injury or death did not result from any other possible causes.

Since the first compensation claims were made in 1989, thousands of compensation payments have been made to victims  totaling $2,354,402,849.25 in compensation paid to petitioners. To see a listing of compensation claims compensated, listed by both year and by vaccine, CLICK HERE.
